Reading Department Teachers

Ms. O'Driscoll

My name is Ms. O'Driscoll (Ms.O ) and this with be my 4th year teaching. I received my undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE), and I am currently working towards my master's in special education at Kennesaw State University. I began my teaching career in Gwinnett County where I taught 4th grade. For the past two years, I have been in Fulton county teaching Middle School reading for grades 7th and 8th . I strive to make positive connections with my students and parents and make my room a little home away from home where students can blossom and reach their full academic potential. I am so excited to be here and can't wait to help students reach their goals

Ms. Monroe

Greetings!  Following 14 years in the heavy equipment sector as a marcom exec, I realized that my heart ❤ was no longer “in that game.”  So back to school I went seeking a fresh challenge; now, this is already my 7th year in the classroom.  (Time really does fly when you love what you are doing!😊)  Outside of the classroom I am obsessed with a tiny Yorkie, enjoy traveling, playing golf, and I am working on earning my doctorate in middle grades education at Brenau University.  I hold a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, EMBA from GA State University’s executive program, and earned teaching certification at the University of North GA.

Ms. Chratian

I have been teaching at River Trail Middle School for 12 years now. I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade reading. I am originally from Knoxville, Tennessee and hold an undergraduate degree from The University of Tennessee, a masters from Grand Canyon University and am currently completing my Specialist degree at the University of West Georgia.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with Ron, my husband of 28 years and my twin 23-year-old daughters.

I look forward to a successful year.

Ms. Howard

My name is Ms. Howard. I grew up in the corn fields of northern Illinois, right on the great Mississippi River. I moved to Georgia 20+ years ago. I have been teaching more than 30 years and I can’t image a better career.  I enjoy most outdoor activities.  Football and baseball are my favorite sports. I am a big Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Although Falcons and Braves are my second favorite.  😊  Reading and being with friends is my favorite thing to do, although quiet time alone is nice too!  One interesting fact about me is that I spent two years teaching in a small Eskimo village in the southwest tundra of Alaska. It was a very challenging experience, but worth every minute.
