Reading Department Teachers
Ms. Monroe
Greetings! Following 14 years in the heavy equipment sector as a marcom exec, I realized that my heart ❤ was no longer “in that game.” So back to school I went seeking a fresh challenge; now, this is already my 9th year in the classroom. (Time really does fly when you love what you are doing!😊) Outside of the classroom I am obsessed with a tiny Yorkie, enjoy traveling, playing golf, and I am working on earning my doctorate in middle grades education at Brenau University. I hold a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, EMBA from GA State University’s executive program, and earned teaching certification at the University of North GA.
Ms. Chratian
I have been teaching at River Trail Middle School for 12 years now. I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade reading. I am originally from Knoxville, Tennessee and hold an undergraduate degree from The University of Tennessee, a masters from Grand Canyon University and am currently completing my Specialist degree at the University of West Georgia.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with Ron, my husband of 28 years and my twin 23-year-old daughters.
I look forward to a successful year.
