SAVANNAH FIELD TRIP
As an enrichment activity related to the 8th Grade Georgia Studies course, River Trail Middle School will be offering an overnight field trip with guided tours and programs on October 8-9, 2026. Motor coaches will leave River Trail on Thursday morning, October 8th at 6:45 AM and return on Friday, October 9th at approximately 5:00 PM. The faculty and staff of RTMS will be chaperoning the trip. The tentative itinerary includes guided tours and activities within historic and cultural sites in Savannah and Milledgeville, GA.
This trip will be chaperoned by RTMS teachers and administrators only.
The cost of the trip is $330.00; this includes luxury motor coaches, hotel, meals, (vegetarian and vegan options are available), ranger-led tours/activities at sites, additional tour guides who travel with the group throughout the trip, and all tips and gratuities. Because the travel company must make deposits to the motor coach company, venue sites, and any catering. The final date for payment for the trip is October 1st, via APLUS Tour Company website. If you prefer, you can pay the total at the registration. September 1st is the deadline for registration. Final payment, if using the plan, will be on October 1, 2026.
